Internship / Placement positions with Credit Suisse
Job Title: Summer Analyst Internship Program
Location: London – UK
Job Type: Internship
Salary: Competitive
Deadline: 17th January, 2010
About Credit Suisse:
Credit Suisse provides private banking, investment banking and asset management services to clients across the world. Active in over 50 countries and employing more than 46,000 people, we remain one of the world’s premier banks. We offer intellectual challenges, high rewards and global development potential for individuals who share an enthusiasm for working with clients to achieve business success.
About the Internship / Placement positions - Summer Analyst Internship Program
We have summer analyst positions available in Investment Banking (including Fixed Income and Equities), Private Banking, Alternative Investments, Information Technology, Investment Banking Operations and other support functions. You can apply to a breadth of positions such as trading, structuring, research, M&A, Global Market Solutions, Operations, and IT amongst many others. The majority of positions are available in our London office, but we also have opportunities in our European offices such as Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Moscow and Zurich.
Training and Development
Our Summer Internships typically last ten weeks (placements lasting 10 weeks to 12 months are also available within IT and the Investment Banking Division) and have been specifically designed to achieve two outcomes. One aim is to give you a great opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and ambition to work here. They are a chance to test yourself in an environment that is open-minded and challenging. The second aim is to enable you to learn more about yourself, your qualities and whether you feel this is the right career path for you long-term. If it is, your internship will go a long way to preparing you for joining us. You will begin to discover where your strengths lie, what kind of challenges you'd like to be involved in and what area of the business might suit your skills and interests.
Training to help you make a success of your internship is provided in a variety of ways — in the classroom, on-the-job and through our management speaker series, educational seminars and networking sessions. We will also monitor your performance regularly to help you with any further development you might need to accomplish everything you were set to achieve by the end of your internship.
What we look for in our Internship / Placement positions - Summer Analyst Internship Program
You will have, or be working towards, a Bachelors, Masters or PhD qualification in any discipline, although a relevant degree or major is required for careers in some areas of IT, Fixed Income and Equities. Applicants must be available to start full- time employment in July 2011.
- Strong numerical, communication and interpersonal skills
- A real interest in financial markets and in building a career in a leading investment bank
- A team-player with a positive, co-operative attitude
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite; other European languages are an advantage
